I can feel the air change for the better. These hot days are over, and the air is getting cold here in Colorado in the late hours. Last month was a strange month for me. I felt a disconnected from my magic. Its unreasonable to think we can be connected perfectly all the time. When we look for why in the moment and never find it. But after all these years on this earth I notice something that feels like watching the same old movie over and over again. Each time I start to feel like I did last month I have got away from the craft.
Witchcraft does not have to be hardcore casting in the forest. It can be as simple as putting marbles in a jar. It can mean going to the craft store to make a wreath for fall. Who is in charge of this image in life? It comes down to you. You see all the witch things like crystals and candles and take for granted what they truly do. They connect the witch to the earth and to their power. Intent doesn’t matter at this point. Wands are not needed but they are as old as time. I use wands in all my craft and the action that is directed is an energy. Being on tik toc has forced me to see other people’s crafts. Just from seeing the live shows and posts.
I have had people that are friends on my live show say “well I don’t need cards to read people” easy there miss brown no one gives a fuck. We use cards the same reason teachers use flash cards for children. Because it paints a picture on thought into this realm.
The point of this post is to convey two things. We need these things that make the craft real. From rocks to bones. From poetry to candles. Look at a famous dancer or even a professional fighter. Their walls will be covered with their hero’s. Their book shelves will be full of books about the things that motivate them. Does a cook decorate their kitchens like a scientist and their machines? YES!
